I would love to partner with you to grow your leadership skills, heal your nervous system, and increase your confidence!

I am a sacred leadership coach helping women and non-binary kin expand to their soul's potential and lead the life they came here to live.

I have distilled a decade of experience working with leaders, community builders, and world-changers into strategies that effect change from the inside-out. I help visionary leaders turn down the dial on their inner critic, heal from imposter syndrome, detox from internalized patriarchy and hustle culture, and stop burnout in its tracks. I partner with clients to envision boldly, embody worthiness, align with their mission, and act with intention.

I hold a master’s in international development from The New School, a wellness coaching certificate from Coach Training EDU, and am a 200-hour yoga teacher. As a circle weaver, I plant community seeds and nourish them through powerful presence and facilitation. As a yoga teacher and embodiment guide, I teach students to titrate between expansion and nurturing to widen their window of tolerance and attract abundance.

When I say Priestess, I mean I am a spiritual leader who reconnects women to the divine feminine through ritual, ceremony, and sacred circles.

You can sign up for love letters from me, join my monthly new moon circles, or sign up for one of my coaching containers on self-love or leadership!

Mission

At Nourished Leaders, we empower visionary women leaders to fulfill their life's purpose through a unique blend of aligned strategy, sacred ceremony, and transformative nervous system healing. I passionately support my clients in embracing their inner worth, healing from imposter syndrome, and stepping into their sovereignty. Through my custom approach, I help them set boundaries, detox from hustle culture, and harness their vision to make a profound, positive impact on the world.

Vision

Our vision is a world where every woman and non-binary person freely expresses their divine visions, thereby healing and uplifting humanity. We envision dismantling oppressive systems, eradicating internalized scarcity and shame, enabling everyone to reach their fullest potential and authentic self-expression. In this world, all our sisters and non-binary kin embrace their sovereignty, worthiness, and sense of belonging within a supportive community.

Values

Sovereignty: liberation for all; everyone gets to ask for what they need and everyone gets to say no

Worthiness: I choose to see the inherent goodness in everyone; decoupling worth from capacity and output; everyone deserves compassion, love, and care

Pleasure: leaning towards what lights me up; everyone who comes through my doors leaves lit up; everyone is worthy of pleasure simply because they are alive; pleasure is a radical act of rebellion against oppression

Community: everyone belongs; weaving in sacred ceremony and non-hierarchical circles to the work; no one is above another; everyone is worthy and sovereign; we need each other

Land Acknowledgement

I humbly acknowledge and recognize that I am a white settler living on stolen indigenous territory - the Piscataway people of what is now called Maryland, who are the people where the rivers blend. I strive to live in integrity with the land, the animals, and culture - as well as those people - past, present and future - who share an eternal connection to these places. (Learn whose land you occupy.)

My Privilege

I am a bisexual cis-woman with straight-passing privilege in a marriage with a cis-man. I am of European descent, and benefit from white privilege. I am a cyclical, able-bodied person. I was born in the US and speak English as my first language. My pronouns are she/her.

Who This Work Is For

When I use the word “women”, I am referring to cis and trans women. This work is predominantly for women, non-binary, intersex, and femme folk. We all suffer under shame culture (patriarchy, white supremacy, and extractive capitalism), and I strive to create work we can all benefit from. This includes folks of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, religious backgrounds, and abilities. I am committed to degendering menstruation and birth. Not all women bleed and not all who bleed are women. If you are not sure if this work is for you, or if you are a man and wish to work together, please get in touch!

I Honor My Teachers

With immense gratitude, I honor Rachel Ricketts, Rachel Cargle, Sonya Renee Taylor, and many other authors, activists, and teachers guiding me on my anti-racism and body liberation journey. I give thanks to Tara Brach for opening my mind with Buddhist psychology and teaching me to meditate. I am grateful to Claire Baker for inspiring and educating me on the power of my menstrual cycle. I honor Becca Piastrelli’s work and her Hearthfire community for teaching me the power of community and ancestral reconnection. I thank Jessica Lichaa for mentoring me on the fascial system, Polyvagal theory, and yoga. I stand on the shoulders of many giants, without whom this work would not be possible.

What folks are saying…

“I have noticed a huge shift in my self-care practice, and in how I relate to myself overall since participating in Become Your Own Soul Mate. I learned more positive, aligned habits in order to better care for myself, while also shifting my underlying intention to one of self-compassion and grace. Ellen provides a supportive, loving container in which you can safely explore core beliefs, motivations, and behaviors that may not be serving you. I will carry all that I learned over these 12 weeks forward in continuing to foster self-growth, and look forward to remaining a member of this community.”

— Become Your Own Soul Mate Participant

“As a working mother, I typically come last in my list of priorities. I'm sure this is true for many of us. By going through Become Your Own Soul Mate, I learned how to shuffle priorities so I can experience more fulfillment and enjoy my life fully. The program was just for me, and gave me space, time, and resources to reflect on who I am, who I want to become, and how I interact with my loved ones. I am better in all aspects of my life for having gone through the program.”

— Cindi

“The Become Your Own Soul Mate program is not to be passed by. Before participating in this program I underestimated the importance of my relationship with myself. I often neglected and tried to avoid my emotions, desires, and fears in order to prevent showing weakness to myself or others. I struggled (and still do) with internal capitalism and I was unfulfilled in my career. I knew I needed to change my ways and I am so happy I found Ellen who helped me to do just that. Ellen helped me to discover the reason for why I was neglecting my relationship with myself and taught me techniques for changing my thought patterns through meditation, journaling, and self awareness. So if you are looking to grow and have some sh*t you need to let go of, I encourage you to join Ellen on this amazing journey of self-discovery and self-compassion. You will not regret it!”
